Why We Started VestedHR

In 2019, Lucas Pappas set out to fix a problem he kept running into across the PEO industry: the real humans behind a company’s operations were an afterthought. He had owned several businesses himself, and as a client of the big providers, he knew the experience firsthand. Smaller businesses were treated like account numbers, and the benefits and support that large companies took for granted were out of reach.

He thought a PEO should do more than run payroll. It should give a smaller business the same tools and coverage a large one has, and stay close enough to actually help. So he built one.

That’s where our Human Focused approach comes from. When you contact VestedHR, you reach a live person who knows you and your staff, never a recording. From the first conversation, our team takes the time to learn how your company runs and where you want it to go, because we’ve always believed your people are your most valuable investment.

We’re built on a staff of seasoned professionals with more than five decades of combined leadership in the PEO industry, and our priorities haven’t changed since day one: real support, honesty with our clients, and staying current on the compliance and regulatory changes that affect your business.
